incubadoraCEDIA’s Project Incubator is the perfect initiative for new researchers or teachers with a research profile, since it links their project idea with the experience of an expert tutor in the development of RDi projects, for the creation of a proposal that could apply for invites with competitions for funds. This allows the incubated researchers to improve their knowledge in the development of projects and to focus their idea into becoming an attractive proposal for these invites.

We currently have 7 proposals submitted, 5 of them in the process of being executed, one in the process of seeking a tutor, and the first proposal, presented in the CEPRA XII Invite, which was selected after an arduous selection process, which includes the evaluation by foreign experts for each proposal, and the final selection along with the Academic Commission of CEDIA.

It should be noted that for the CEPRA XII Invite 54 proposals were presented from different fields, including the adjudicated proposal of the incubator that was submitted by Mr. Juan Gabriel Barros, PhD. of the Universidad del Azuay, called "Classification-video for mobility parties as an alternative to manual volumetric counts". This proposal has been awarded among the 15 best projects that will soon begin execution.

We also congratulate the work done by the tutor of this proposal, Ing. Rommel Torres T., PhD., Professor / Researcher of the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, who has been awarded the prize of $3000.00 USD for winning with his proposal. He is currently incubating a new UNACH proposal.

As the National Research and Education Network of Ecuador, we are ready to support all project ideas presented within this initiative.
