Welcome to the EELA-2 Workshop in Quito, Ecuador. EELA-2 is the second phase of the EELA project; a success story born in January 2006 thanks to the co-fundings of the the European Commission in the context of the EGEE project. The aim of the EELA project was to instantiate a scientific collaboration between Europe and Latin America thanks to the facilities offered by the Grid technology. EELA-2 will continue this effort trying to attract more user communities.
Event Scope / Purpose
The workshop opens the floor for exchange between the existing and the potential Ecuadorian Grid community and the EELA-2 project to expose their work, their aims, their needs as well as the way in which collaboration could be established.
